Welcome to Poppycroft

We are based in Lincolnshire and have been breeding cockers spaniels for the past 18 years. We have 3 happy, healthy cocker bitches who are first and foremost much loved pets who share our home and holidays; enjoying long country walks and plenty of cuddles from all of the family. Poppycroft only breed from dogs who are fully health tested with excellent temperaments. Our cockers are hereditary clear for FN and prcd-PRA, with a clear BVA eye certificate and good hip scores. They are also hereditary clear for AMS and AON.

Poppycroft puppies are reared in the home as part of the family.

About our Puppies

We occasionally have a carefully planned litter of puppies, available to vetted and loving homes only, with children over the age of five. The stud dog is selected with great care, as temperament and good health is our utmost priority.

All our puppies are reared in the home to ensure they are well socialised with the other dogs, adults and children, but also to familiarise them with all the normal sounds which accompany a family home. New owners are encouraged to visit their puppies as often as possible and to bring them a soft toy or blanket to ensure that the pup leaves the litter with the familiar smell of its littermates. When our puppies are ready to leave to go to their new homes they will be KC registered, microchipped, wormed and fully vet-checked. Pups come with an excellent 5 generation pedigree, 5 week's free insurance, and information on how to care for your puppy. Your puppy pack will also include food, toy, scent blanket and a lifetime of support.

About Cocker Spaniels

The show type cockers are busy, friendly little dogs who thrive on human companionship, wanting nothing more than to please their owners. They are ideal pets where there are children about and get on well with other household animals. Cockers can be very manipulate - who can resist their soft, pleading eyes? The sad eyes, however, are a miconception. Cockers are a very happy breed, constantly wagging their tails and bringing 'presents' to one and all.
